Our lovely planners, Roisin Doyle and Aleezah Manzoor, have planned a very exciting summer reunion in Madison, Wisconsin from July 19-21! Cost will be $70. However, for ANY reunion, if you qualify for free and reduced lunch at school, you will not have to pay to attend. Your cost covers all lodging, meals (except one lunch) and activities. We will be bowling, volunteering at a zoo, exploring State Street, hearing from an alumni speaker who started their own nonprofit and electing the new Alumni Association Board! If you are interested in running for the Board, an email with all the position descriptions and further information will be sent later. Reunions are great times to get to know other WILSers, from your seminar year and older. Registration is due by 7/1/19 along with a $35 deposit check postmarked by July 1st!

MIRACLE LEAGUE
Miracle League is a fantastic and fun volunteer opportunity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where children of all ability levels have a chance to play baseball! The league allows all children to play baseball in a custom-made field designed to allow access for those who are in a wheelchair, visually impaired, and other special-needs. Regardless of ability, everyone has an amazing time. There are many roles for our volunteers including being the “Buddy” for a kid on the field to help them play, base coaching & cheering and running concessions. There is something for everyone and no prior experience is required! Join us for one or all dates! And in true WILS fashion we will follow up our volunteering with some socializing and ice cream at the nearby Wendy’s!
Location: Milwaukee-Werner Family Foundation Field at the Northwest YMCA-9050 N Swan Rd
Dates: July 11th, July 25th, and August 6th from 7-9pm

CORN ROAST AT STATE FAIR
As you all know, WILS is 100% nonprofit and volunteer based. So, we often volunteer with other organizations in order to raise funds to sponsor students! One of our favorite opportunities is helping the New Berlin Lions Club Corn Roast at the Wisconsin State Fair. After a fun shift of corn roast, corn jokes, and just corn- we all have an a-MAIZE-ing time at the fair and keep coming back year after year! AND by volunteering we are raising sponsorships for future WILSers to attend seminar!
Dates and Shifts: August 1st (11am-6pm), August 2 (6pm-11pm), August 5th (11am-6pm)

Susan will also be making an appearance at Summer Reunion as our Speaker! More information about location and details will be emailed down the road to those who sign up. No experience necessary – all supplies and instructions will be provided for volunteers.
